Update on Jackson Jesus mercy Mary pray

Heard from lauren for an update.  jackson continued to be unresponsive today and was not able to be awake enough to take a bottle.  He was able to take and absorb more milk today thru his feeding tube.  We are up to 25ml with absorbtion.  The down side to the day is that the inactivity is due to pressure on his brain.  There is a cavity system in the brain known as ventricles.  The ventricle system holds fluids that will drain thru the spinal cord.  When Jack had the brain bleed it filled portions of the ventricle system.  The ventricles have ducts that help the draining.  Jack's isn't draining adaquately.  A neurologist will come see him now and MRI's will be taken on a consistent basis for awhile.  He is also having his head measured frequently throughout the day.  Because the brain is swelling somewhat it is putting pressure on the Thalamus which explains the inactivity and the loss of sucking.  The hope is the duct system will work and begin to drain the blood.  If not, Jack may have to have a shunt placed.....brain surgery.  It is a possibility that was explained to them when they got MRI results...so it's not a total surprise for them but non the less not good news.  Nuro will always be the major concern for him with ups and downs.  They are in a wonderful place with medical care beyond compare so he will get the best care and doctors available.  We see his pictures and the videos of him looking go healthy and alert.  His alertness is limited on a good day to a few minutes maybe twice three times a day.

Please continue to remember Jack AND his parents please.  It's been a concerning day for them.  I am going up Thursday and hope to hug, rock, and read a few books to my guy.

Please let us all keep praying for Jackson, Lauren and Boone.

Heavenly Father, watch with us over your child Jackson, and grant that he may be restored to that perfect health which it is yours alone to give; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd of the sheep, you gather the lambs in your arms and carry them in your bosom: We commend to your loving care this child Jackson  Relieve his pain, guard him from all danger, restore to him your gifts of gladness and strength, and raise him up to a life of service to you.  Hear us, we pray, for your dear Name's sake.  Amen.

Jesus, be Jesus to Jackson.
