St. Michael's Conference

I was at St. Michael's Conference last week and was responsible for Benediction on Wednesday evening (photo from The Lone Star Parson). The only thing I know that is right about Anglicans these days is St. Michael's. Young people are taught the Catholic faith: three hour long classes each day. They practice the faith: Solemn High Mass everyday; Morning Prayer and Evensong; Confession required.  They laugh, they sing not grubby out-of-date little folk ditties but plainsong and polyphony, they play, they pray. Our Lady's prayers are sought, St. Michael and All the Holy Angel's protection is invoked, and despite the bugs and heat our hearts are lifted up. Highly recommended.

A great week. The headlamp was especially powerful.
