St. Gregory the Watchful

I have no advice for the Conclave. But maybe some of the Cardinals will remember that according to the usus antiquior today is the Feast of St. Gregory the Great. The first antiphon at Lauds in the Benedictine Office says"St. Gregory, when raised to the throne of Peter, by deeds justified his name:the Watchful". Watchfulness, Vigilance, a virtue which commends itself to all Shepherds and to all the Faithful. "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:Whom resist steadfast in the faith". R. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us.
